"I have a bunch of the prior year’s version - tech lite II tees. I wear them all year, for hiking, as casual tees in summer, and for layering in winter. Their neck is a very slight scoop. This new crew neck is higher and much too tight. Felt like it was choking me, and it was very unflattering. I adore my old ones but sadly will have to look elsewhere when they wear out."

Best cycle touring t-shirts

"Icebreaker 100% merino wool t-shirts are terrific when we travel by bicycle. The length is really good for cycling. Cool on the rides, warm as an under layer on cooler days. They wash well and dry overnight ready for the next day of riding. Unlike synthetic fibres, I can often get two days of wear out of a shirt by hanging it overnight, and it won't stink, thanks to the merino wool. Great for touring trips!"
