Qu’est-ce que la laine mérinos?
Merino is super lightweight, soft, non-itchy, non-clammy, warm in the cold and cool in the heat, and has a miraculous ability to resist odour. Because it was made in the mountains rather than in a petrochemical laboratory. Merino wool fibre is naturally renewable, recyclable and biodegradable

Pretty Good Hoody

"I bought this for my very particular husband. We decided to size up so he could layer. It fits well and he likes it. He said that if the zipper pulls were covered, it would be even better."

Warm and light but needs work

"I’ve worn the Quantum for the last 8 years and have purchase many lasting around 2 years. They have in the past suffered from thinning and eventually disintegrating on the elbows and on the hem and side seam close to the trouser pocket area t (maybe a good place to strengthen the design but wait to add these pics here as this was the old design but I’ll send them if asked) I still prefer the double zip design as the heavier front panel kept the from Zip flat and not lumpy (really NOT a fan if the new front panel and the zip feels flimsy) I’ll grant them the front pocket area is an improvement as it iron flatter than the old. . while moving to full 100% wool mashed it light and warmer i still miss the from structure of old. Also why make the front icebreaker label in such a bad material. After 1 wash it looks a mess - see picture. Add strengthening to elbows an hem."

Still Going strong after 12 years (the style)

"Did not receive and super disappointed, I buy one or two of these a year depending on new color. Basically, will wear everyday fall -early spring. Perfect warmth and easy to add more, always great fit. I'm 6' 165, size medium in all slim fit Icebreaker."

Exceptional quality and warmth. My

"Exceptional quality and warmth. My only negative comment is that is noticeably heavier in physical weight compared to my other dedicated midlayers. So not ideal for backpacking although this is really what I wanted it for given the odor protection offered by Icebreaker's Merino"

my best mid-layer hoodie

"I have one of these quantum 260 hoodies, it is not in this colour but is in a lovely soft slightly slate blue. It is my go to hoody for relaxing and for trekking when I want to have the convenience of a hood that I can pull on at any time rather than use a beanie, or as an addition to a beanie. It keeps its shape well and looks smart as well as doing a great job on the hill. Quality, ordering, delivery are all excellent and I have used icebreaker for years."

Zipper is terrible

"Have been buying these for years, the last batch I bought had the new super cheap one way zipper, I cant even operate the thing. Terrible quality for such an expensive product. Will not buy again until they go back to old zipper, highly suggest you don't either. The old ones were so great."

Not sure I’ll buy again.

"I purchased two of these tops in the sale. I’m nearly 50, so quality over quantity is my preference and has been for a while. They are comfortable and easy to wear. One of the minority 100 % merino products from IB. I enjoyed wearing them over 2 weeks in the Dolomites. The full zips gave a good option for allowing air flow to keeping out the chill. The hood is good for under a jacket but I would not be seen with it up other wise. The pockets are reasonable enough for a large phone but the chest pocket is pokey for bus tickets but not much else. I purchased a medium and at 178cm 80kg was a good fit. I have not washed them yet as i have to say I’m nervous too. They do feel rather delicate and flimsy. The zip is on key with a pri mart example and i have no idea what marketing exec decided that it was an update from the two way! What? We are better than this IB! The price is about 35% over the top. I would not purchase this top unless in the sale. Even then I regard it as a hesitant purchase. Over all. Comfortable, quite stylish, could be improved and over priced."
