Perfect for ski mountaineering

"If you’re moving uphill and downhill on skis you don’t want your leggings to be bunched up over your ski boot or inside your ski boot either. These leggings are perfect for long days ski touring and ski mountaineering. I just wish that they also made them in a heavier 260 weight. Skiers go out in the cold too."

The best lightweight layer

"Second pair of these. I run pretty hot and wear these under shell pants in almost all conditions. They are well build and hold up better than other merino brands that I’ve tried. The 3/4 length means no bunching around your boots or socks. 200 is a great weight for all around downhill skiing or uphill in cold conditions."

Great Leggings

"Similar to the Icebreaker Oasis long sleeve thermals I purchased these to replace my cheaper Walmart brands gear. These are super comfortable and contour to my lower body well. There were no issues with fit and I did t feel like any part was too loose or too tight. I enjoy the length of the 3/4 leggings as it allowed me to wear wool socks and sweatpants and still easily fit into my winter snow boots. They kept me warm and even after plenty of movement without shifting snow shoveling and snow clearing they never got damp. I was able to wear them a few times before washing and true to their description there was zero odor. Wash and care was easy and they feel look and perform as they did new. I would definitely purchase again."

That extra bit of needed warmth

"These are very versatile in 200 weight. I use them whenever I need extra warmth doing anything from a cold evening out in the city to backcountry hiking and motorcycling. I particularly like the 3/4 length as it eliminates unnecessary bulk when packed and doesn't interfere with socks and boots. The wool is soft and non-itchy. I also prefer the no fly style to eliminate extra fabric layers. Recommended."

For those who overheat

"I often run hot when skiing in the backcountry or on the resort so these 3/4 length leggings are amazing. Paired with over the calf socks these leggings do an excellent job of keeping me warm where needed without the added heat generated inside my boots! I recommend everyone has a pair of these if they run into similar heating problems!"

Needs a fly.

"Like these for skiing but they need a fly for bathroom breaks to be a 5 star for me."

Perfect 3/4 length base layer long johns

"I coach ski racing and am on the snow 5 days a week all winter long. I have started the season with a 7 day camp out in Colorado and wore these every day. Since we were staying in a hotel there was no way to wash them. I had 2 pairs but wore 1 pair all 7 days and there was no stink. They kept their form and shape and fit well. They did not ride up to the back of my knees like some of the other 3/4 synthetic long johns out there. The seams are in all the right places and they are thick enough for a bit of warmth and airflow but not so thick that you get hot."

Love these

"Very comfortable and they fit very well right to my sock line providing coverage of my entire legs."

The versatile layer

"The 200 weight layer is the versatile base layer in the icebreaker line. I have a pair of 150 weight baselayer leggings but I find myself only reaching for these on warmer winter days or high aerobic activities (skate skiing). I have a pair of 260 weight leggings and I wear these when riding chairs on cold winter days but they are pretty warm for ski touring or backcountry hiking unless it’s really cold. The 200 weight is perfect for most days in the winter…. . ski touring and resort skiing snowshoeing and hiking outdoor parade watching these baselayer leggings are think enough to keep you warm but don’t overheat when you start moving a bunch. Think of them as the happy layer in the middle!"

light and comfortable

"I wanted something that wasn't bulky or too tight. These are perfect for a simple warmth layer under your ski bibs. They're not sweaty or restrictive. Just comfy for all-day use. I wore them all season no problems. The fit seemed true to size. I'm about a 33-34 waist so I got a large but a medium might have also worked if I wanted them to fit more snugly."
