Zipper is terrible

"Have been buying these for years, the last batch I bought had the new super cheap one way zipper, I cant even operate the thing. Terrible quality for such an expensive product. Will not buy again until they go back to old zipper, highly suggest you don't either. The old ones were so great."

Neuerung

"Die "Aktualisierung" von einem 2-Wege-Reißverschluss auf einen 1-Weg-Reißverschluß der eher billigen Sorte kann leider nur als Rückschritt bezeichnet werden."

Disappointment

"My brother purchased this exact same hoodie couple of years ago and he was very pleased with it, so I got myself one, too. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed. The quality has decreased dramatically. The fabric is lighter, there is only one way zipper, which is much less robust and is made of plastic instead of double way metal one. It is not a cheap product even if you buy it on sale. I understand that there is inflation and everything is more expensive than it used to be, but for higher price, I would expect the same quality as couple of years ago. It is a shame that manufacturers (not just icebreaker, of course) treat their customers this way and expect that no one will notice. I am afraid that the only way to change it is not just let it go. I do not want to support this business model, so I decided to return my hoodie (even though I kind of like it overall and don't know where else will I get 100% merino garment like this). In conclusion, the change is in our hands and it is only up to you whether you buy it or not."

Awesome

"Fits to size, lightweight but warm"

Excellence!

"I've had both this Merino wool Icebreaker hoodie and a TAD (Triple Aught Design) hoodie for about 10 years. They're both excellent. The Weave of the fabric on the Icebreaker is much more resistant to peeling than the woven fabric of the Praetorian hoodie. I wear a large in both, and I like to fit in both. The pretorian hoodie price has gone up to $400, which would price me out of the market if I decided to buy another one. This one on sale is a steal."

Disappointing quality. No longer worth it.

"Disappointing quality. As a long time user of Icebreaker products (20 yrs+) I have seen the quality of the fabrics decline. Now it's on a nosedive. Icebreaker has expanded the range and maybe its market appeal to a wider market. Unfortunately, the quality of the fabrics and durability is down (but not the premium prices). Tops that pile and fabric that looks cheap. I still have a 100% merino jumper from 20+ years ago that looks new. In contrast, my new top looks like a rag after three uses. I'm done with Icebreaker."

Quantum 260

"This is my third Quantum 260 in about 12 years, each version has differed slightly from the last. As always, good weight, excellent as a mid layer. Thumb hooks and hood are great for keeping out the chills. Zipper works well so far, good zip pockets."

As usual, icebreaker came through

"As usual, icebreaker came through with comfort, style, and deep quality."

It a Christmas present- so

"It a Christmas present- so I have not seen it!"

5*

"I'm on my third quantum now. Fit is excellent, back length is very good (long). I like the long arms as they can be pulled down with use of the thumb loops and be used as fingerless mits! I have used this top for extensive hill/mountain days and as a casual /travel top. I like the athletic hugging fit and the weight of the fabric is just right. Three zip pockets is ideal too for a multiactive top. Hood fits well under a helmet or over a baseball type hat. I does tend to hole at wear points but i find this is common with any merino product and just adds to the well worn & loved look."
