Outstanding cold weather gear

"Icebreaker is "top of the line". I have tried all of them and at this point I think icebreaker Merino is the best with the most choices for cold weather variations . I buy a variety of thermal ratings and layer them as temperature variations may require during an outing. Looks great, feels great. works great ! See you this winter on the slopes !"

Duty use

"Daily the 260 and 200 weight merino ice breaker long John’s have worked great for winter LE patrol and swat. The 260 has held up better as I wear through 2-3 pairs of the 200s per winter. At times I will double up pairs in sub zero conditions with high winds. I run between -37 to + 40 weather as a base layer to stay dry. I will continue to run them as a go to product."

Nice Mid-weight good quality wool bottom base layer

"Wool base layers are the best for cold weather sporting activities and this is a quality example. Well made- much better than most of what you find online. Also this weight is mid range so good for colder conditions but not too heavy. Because it’s wool it breathes so you don’t perspire as much. And the way it’s manufactured it retains is elasticity and doesn’t stretch out like some wool can."

For price thickness and fit these tights are a must

"No absolutely perfect in terms of fit but exceptional value and versatility for the price"

Great base layer

"Worked flawlessly to help keep me warm during a winter trip to Germany."

Outstanding

"Very warm. Very comfortable. I hope they hold up to regular use a common issue with newer Icebreaker products (well just about all products actually). MSRP is a stretch but EV discount ranges make it a good value. I like them and wear them often even when I’m not doing outdoor activities. When it’s COLD - these are the ticket."

Every pair of thermal bottoms

"Every pair of thermal bottoms I’ve bought from Icebreaker develops random holes in the seat, crotch, and thighs. I’m not a large guy, nor overweight. I love the feel of the product but unless the weave quality can be markedly improved, I’m not interested. Especially at this price point."

Leggings

"Definitely leggings in thickness. Very comfortable. I bought them as long underwear for skiing and ski touring because there were no 150 or even 200 weight options. Wool so they breathe well but only the fly qualifies them for this role. Otherwise they are male leggings (for what?) not long underwear. But I'll keep using them!"

Great for Traveling

"These kept me warm on my winter trip through Germany. Easy to pack doesn't absorb smells comfortable and flexible I was happy to have them in my pack. I highly recommend for skiing and hiking which is what I used them for. I even bought some for my kids and they never complained about itchiness or being too hot. If you plan on being outdoors in the cold these leggings will keep you warm."
